2 charged in connection to Christmas Day shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) -- Two men have been charged in connection to the shooting on Christmas Day that left one man dead.
In a release from the Fort Wayne Police Department, 47-year-old Shawn Christopher Williams was taken into custody around 10:30 p.m. Christmas night near the intersection of Stellhorn Road and Maplecrest Road.

46-year-old Chad Kinney was taken into custody Thursday afternoon in the 5600 block of Kelso Lane.

Both Williams and Kinney are preliminarily charged with murder and currently sit in the Allen County Jail.
Police responded to the 1600 block of Wells Street around 6:30 p.m. on Christmas Day on calls of a shooting. When officers arrived on scene they found one man who was suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooting still remains under investigation.
