(CNN)– Despite low unemployment, a new Gallup report highlights some very real challenges facing workplaces in the new year. In 2024, Gallup says U.S. employee engagement reached an 11 year low and overall employee satisfaction returned to an all time record low. The report found more people are looking for new jobs, but quit rates have not increased. Gallup says that means workers are staying put in their current roles, even though they feel disconnected from their jobs. It’s a trend Gallup has referred to as “The Great Detachment”. Other challenges cited in the report include employee adoption of artificial intelligence and ongoing issues for parents related to child care. Categories: News Tags: U.S. economy
