(PUEBLO, Colo.) — Pueblo Police Department (PPD) detectives are investigating a shooting that happened in the overnight hours of Thursday, Dec. 26 that left one man dead and another injured. According to PPD, officers were called to the 1100 block of Egan Avenue near Arroyo and South Santa Fe Avenues on Thursday a little before 2 a.m. on reports of a shooting. When officers arrived they found a man with a single gunshot wound and another man dead. The injured man was taken to the hospital and later transferred to a hospital in Colorado Springs. The Pueblo County Coroner will determine the cause and manner of death for the other man along with identification after appropriate notifications. PPD said this is an active investigation, and no arrests have been made at this time. This is the 20th homicide in Pueblo in 2024.
