(PUEBLO/COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.) — The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) arrested a man after he allegedly kidnapped his ex-girlfriend in Pueblo and led police on a pursuit to Colorado Springs. On Thursday, Dec. 26, the PPD was dispatched to the 2200 block of East 12th Street near Highway 50 and Utica Avenue a little before 4 a.m. on a report of a kidnapping in progress. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party, who said 33-year-old Stevie Flores had left in a vehicle with his ex-girlfriend, and her family was concerned for her safety and called 911. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office, Fountain Police Department, and Colorado State Patrol were all called in to assist, and the car was finally stopped via a tactical vehicle intervention on Las Vegas Street in Colorado Springs. Flores was arrested and charged with Second Degree Kidnapping, Domestic Violence, Vehicular Eluding, Reckless Driving, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and warrants for Criminal Impersonation- Cause Liability, and Failure to Appear. He was taken to the Pueblo County Detention Center.
