BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- It's the day after Christmas and Kern County Public Works has announced 23 locations for you to drop-off and recycle your real Christmas trees. Between now and Jan. 6., 2025, you can drop-off your whole, un-decorated tree to one of 23 drop off locations throughout the county, according to officials. The Blessing Corner’s Christmas extravaganza serves over 500 meals, distributes gifts You can also recycle your tree by removing all the decoration, lights, and the tree stand, cut your tree up and compost it. You can also put it in your green waste bin. Whole and flocked trees will not be accepted. The lid must be able to securely close, Kern Public Works officials said through a news release.
