WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) -- HumanKind Ministries says they are seeing high demand for shelter but still have space to assist.
The emergency winter shelter has 128 beds for men, 66 additional flex sleeping spaces and 72 sleeping spaces for women. Since the shelter opened at the end of November, they have had to utilize some of the flex space for men but still have space available.

HumanKind Ministries says those figures are similar to the numbers they saw in January. The shelter is at 1025 N. Main in the former Park Elementary School.
