WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - A 2-alarm fire caused $700,000 in damage to a Manhattan home on Christmas morning.
The Manhattan Fire Department responded around 7:40 a.m. to 1217 Wyndham Heights Drive for a report of a fire. Crews found a home with heavy fire and smoke coming from the back. Seventeen firefighters aggressively attacked the fire and searched the house for occupants, but no one was found. The fire was contained in 30 minutes.
Derby man, pet killed in Christmas night fire
The loss is estimated at $250,000 to contents and $450,000 to the structure. The cause is under investigation.
