METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — Actor Jude Law must love shopping for wine as much as we all do at Martin's Wine & Spirits in Uptown New Orleans.
Earlier this week a New Orleans fan of Law, Jeanne Charlebois, said her Christmas wish came true when she met the Oscar-winning movie star who's known for such movies as "Cold Mountain," "The Aviator," "A.I.", "Sherlock Holmes," and "The Talented Mr. Ripley."

Charlebois said, "I was on a conference call with my District Manager in Hawaii for a strategic pricing project. She told me about a friend from Hawaii who moved to New Orleans and was at a luncheon for the Preservation Hall Foundation and met Jude Law there, so I knew Jude was in town, so I told all my friends to be on the lookout."
She then continued her story, "Within the hour my other friend was lunching at Martin's on Baronne Street and texted me and a few friends that Jude Law was there. I told her to hold him down and not to let him leave. I then called my husband, Jean-Pierre, who is the wine manager at Martin's to see if Jude Law was still there. He said that Jude was checking out and leaving. He lied to me."

Charlebois said she then raced to Martin's to try and meet the celebrity. When she got there, he was in fact still around.
"So I walked up to Jude and made a heart with my fingers and tilted my head with a smile. We talked about New Orleans architecture and I told him about the Preservation Hall conversation, so meeting him was serendipitous. To be honest, I barely paid attention to any word he said as I was shaking and my heart was pounding, simply star struck. I then took a picture with him. Luckily a friend had a handheld fan which I used to cool myself off as I was still trembling from seeing him. My Christmas present came early," Charlebois said.
