ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WAVY) — A teenage girl was injured and subsequently flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital after a shooting Saturday morning.
The Elizabeth City Police Department said they were called to the 100 block of Sutton Drive at 3:37 a.m. Saturday in reference to a shooting.

When officers arrived at the scene, it was determined that five people were in a residence when it was struck several times by gunfire.
Officers found that a 15-year-old girl had been injured. She was treated on the scene before being taken to Sentara Albemarle Medical Center and then flown to Norfolk General Hospital.
