CHASE, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities in Oconto County say one man is dead and a four-year-old child is injured following a crash Wednesday morning. According to a release from the Oconto County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded at 10:48 a.m. to County Highway S near the intersection of County Highway C in the Town of Chase for reports of a crash. Suspect of hit-and-run that killed a tow truck operator in Wisconsin turns himself in Once on scene, deputies say a Chevrolet SUV had extensive damage after crashing into a tree and coming to a stop in a yard near a home. Officials determined that a 29-year-old Pulaski man was driving the vehicle east on County Highway S and, for an unknown reason, the vehicle was driven off the roadway, through a ditch, and into a field where it continued on heading east through the field until it crashed into a tree. The 29-year-old man died at the scene due to his injuries sustained in the crash. A 4-year-old passenger was taken to a hospital in Green Bay and was treated for minor injuries.
