3 people wounded in shooting at Phoenix airport

Operations at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport's Terminal 4 were temporarily paused due to a shooting investigation Wednesday night.Officers were called to a restaurant within Terminal 4 around 9:45 p.m. for reports of a shooting.Upon arriving, investigators learned a shooting took place when a group of people got into a fight. A woman and two men were taken to hospitals for treatment for gunshot wounds. Police say the woman suffered life-threatening injuries. The shooting occurred within the airport terminal, but outside of the security checkpoints. No other community members or visitors were injured during the altercation, police say. As a precaution, Terminal 4's 'A' security checkpoint was temporarily closed and Sky Train operations were also paused at Terminal 4. Officials say the incident has been resolved and operations are back to normal. The Terminal 4 Level 3 Food Court remains closed, as well as a few nearby retail stores and part of the Level 8 parking garage near 'Elevator A', Sky Harbor officials say.The investigation is ongoing.
