WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - While many businesses close their doors on Christmas, movie theaters stayed open. The Cinemark theater in West Springfield was filled with enthusiastic movie fans, ready to top off their Christmas with the latest film releases. Some of the most popular Christmas releases are Baby Girl, A Complete Unknown, and The Fire Inside. Many were excited to be out and about, grab popcorn and unwind after a busy morning of opening presents. One movie goer says its an annual tradition for her. "It's nice. It was really packed today and everybody was excited to see the movie. So kind of made the movie a lot more interesting and a lot more fun to be around," said Zulymar Custodio of Chicopee. According to IMDB, the top box office movie right now is Sonic the Hedgehog 3. It's total gross currently stands at $68 million dollars.
