SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The holiday spirit was alive and well at Bright Nights at Forest Park in Springfield! For many, it's a cherished tradition to visit during the most wonderful time of year, Christmas!
"It's great to share it with my son, my dogs and just keep the tradition going," said Ally Cavanaugh of Springfield.
"I remember since, like, I was a kid, I've been coming here. So now it's their turn to experience. It's so nice. Just come here on Christmas night and just enjoying all the lights," added Snezha Naignatyk of Southwick.
Bright Nights is also a special place for Anna Gonzalez of Connecticut and her family. "We love it. And I my sister at first type, my sister loves first time. So I said, we got to go. We got to go before you know it's over. So we decided to come today. Well, we always do it every year," said Gonzalez.
As people drove through the three-mile display while listening to festive music, they were surrounded by over 750-thousand lights, creating a magical experience for everyone.
Several families were thrilled to see their favorite holiday lights once again. "My favorite is the frog that jumps over the pond and lands into a really big splash," said Christina Cavanaugh of Springfield.
"We're fans of the Grinch. So I think that's mostly our favorite part. But everything else besides, it's pretty. It's beautiful," added Gonzalez.
And it's not just about the lights, many also got to stop and expore Santa's Magical Forest to enjoy a sip of hot coco, take a ride on the carousel, or head into the gift shop. There was no shortage of ways for families to celebrate and create unforgettable memories at Bright Nights this Christmas!
And if you didn't make it to Bright Nights, there's still time to go. Bright Nights remains open until January 5th.
