Tipton County man accused of distributing child pornography

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 35-year-old man from Drummonds, Tennessee has been charged with possessing and distributing child pornography.
Tipton County Sheriff Shannon Beasley said his office executed a search warrant Monday after receiving a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force about child sexual material being shared through social media app Kik.
John Curtis Palmer was identified by detectives as the person who uploaded the material.

Palmer allegedly admitted his actions, cooperated with investigators and turned over media storage devices. More electronic devices were taken from the house and will be examined for child sex material.
Palmer was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor. He is being held in the Tipton County Jail on $150,000 bond.
