Gloomy December weather has been the story across northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. There's no sign this pattern is going to change as we wrap up 2024...
Look for areas of drizzle and fog to continue overnight. Slow down and take it easy as you're heading out and about for any plans, as the fog will be locally dense at times. Temperatures will continue to rise overnight and we'll be in the 40s for most locations by daybreak Thursday.

Expect foggy areas to linger into Thursday morning before winds gradually mix it out as the day goes on. By the evening, we'll see some breaks in the clouds. Our high temperatures Thursday will reach the upper 40s.
Visibilities improve throughout our Thursday.Highs reach the upper 40s at most on Thursday under cloudy skies.
We'll warm to around 50 degrees on Friday, with our next weather system moving in during the afternoon. You can expect periods of rain and breezy conditions Friday afternoon into Friday night. We'll then see temperatures soar into the mid-to-upper 50s on Saturday, along with a few lingering rain showers. It certainly will not feel like December for the final weekend of the year!
Rain chances will accompany the above average warmth in the coming days.
Temperatures will then be on a cooling trend for the remainder of the year into 2025. We'll track another weather system on New Year's Eve (Tuesday) to bring us more rain, followed by highs in the 20s and 30s to ring in the new year, along with chances for lake effect snow.
