(PUEBLO, Colo.) — On Wednesday, Dec. 25, the Pueblo Zoo welcomed a new member to the zoo and is asking the community to help with the name. The Pueblo Zoo said after a quarantine, a young bull elk will be joining Ivy and Harley in the Bison & Elk exhibit. The zoo said he is interested in joining the others and can be heard calling out to them. As of yet the Zoo has not named the new addition and is asking the community to help them choose. His team of keepers have narrowed his name down to: Maxie (Maximilian), Oswald, Floyd, or Bane. The Pueblo Zoo says to go to their Facebook page and comment on the post related to his arrival with your suggestion and you will be entered to win a behind-the-scenes experience with the Zoo's bison, Cody and CJ. A winner will be announced on Wednesday, Jan. 8.
