6 people, dog displaced after Christmas Day fire in DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Several people and a dog were displaced after a fire on Christmas Day in Southeast D.C.
In a post made just before 11:30 a.m., DC Fire and EMS said that crews were in the 2800 block of R St. SE for the fire.

When crews arrived, flames were visible from the kitchen of a two-story home.

Officials said that the fire was extinguished quickly and no injuries were reported, but two adults, four children and one dog were displaced.
