ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – With Christmas Day comes Christmas Mass. St. Theodore's church on Spencerport Road kicked off with early morning mass at 9 and again at 11.
The series began Tuesday on Christmas Eve. The most prominent three masses happen at midnight, dawn, and daytime. Each tells a different aspect of the Christmas story.
"It's a special day for us because we all gather to go back to something that's an essential part of our Christian faith. It is our belief that the world was made flesh. God sent his son, Jesus into the world to save us and redeem us, so it's a beautiful thing to come together and celebrate that," said Father Kevin Mckenna.
Big crowds for St. Joseph’s Christmas Eve Mass
St. Theodore's resumes its normal mass schedule until New Year's Day - with mass at 10 a.m.
