Petersburg Police search for missing 89yearold man with cognitive impairment

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- The Petersburg Bureau of Police is searching for a missing 89-year-old man whose disappearance poses a credible threat to his health and safety, according to officials.
On Wednesday, Dec. 25, Virginia State Police issued a Senior Alert on behalf of the Petersburg Bureau of Police for 89-year-old Richard Ervin Flowers, who was last seen in the 1600 block of Halifax Street in Petersburg at around 9 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23.

State police describe Flowers, who is pictured above, as a Black man standing about 6 feet tall and weighing 182 pounds. He is possibly wearing a black, thigh-length coat, black shoes and a black hat.
Flowers is believed to be moving on foot.
According to authorities, Flowers has a cognitive impairment and his disappearance poses a credible threat to his health and safety.
