MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Working during the holidays is a reality for many, with some restaurants and stores open, some are tasked with supplying goods. Even at the break of dawn, some workers may only get a partial break during this entire season as the hustle continues through the holidays. Two men who have been working during this season say what they're doing is truly a labor of love. We met Terrence Thomas and Cordell Gray, hard at work, as the two were making sure stores stayed stocked throughout this season. Photo by WREGPhoto by WREG "I love being out to be a contributor to the community, getting the stores filled with what customers will need for Christmas and the New Year holidays," said Terrance Thomas. What the two men are supplying to various stores across the Mid-South is often part of the holiday spread. "For your buttermilk, we have everything. Eggnog, everything you need," Cordell Gray said. As families share gifts for Christmas, these dedicated workers are happy to share their love for giving. "It gives me joy to know that the company I work for, Prairie Farms, is out here making a difference. And it's always a great joy to be out here," said Thomas. The dedicated dad is giving his kids something that can't be wrapped and put under the tree, instead, it's the gift of knowing hard work pays off, and it's something he wants to share with them personally. "First, that daddy loves them, and I just look forward to spending time with them for the holidays," said Gray. Thomas and Gray aren't alone, as a recent survey from ResumeTemplates.com shows more than 70 percent of full-time employees plan to take on additional work during the holiday season. For the two men we spoke with, it's a small way to make a big difference. "It makes me feel good to be able to put the product where it's needed so that everyone can be happy," said Thomas.
