Where to recycle your live Christmas trees in Colorado Springs
Dec 25, 2024
(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Once the presents have all been opened and the meals devoured, your Christmas tree will need a place to retire. TreeCycle offers a way to dispose of live Christmas trees and give them a new purpose benefitting nonprofits in the region.
Recycled trees are used to create mulch and support youth development non-profits in the community. Organized by El Paso County, and with the assistance of the City of Colorado Springs, Colorado Springs Utilities, and Colorado Springs Youth Sports, TreeCycle will be held the first two weekends of January.
For a suggested minimum donation of only $5 per tree, neighbors can drop off trees at six convenient locations throughout the county.
