Water services interrupted in Northwest DC due to main break

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Officials said several customers were without water on Christmas Day following a main break in Northwest D.C.
Early Wednesday morning, DC Water reported crews were working to repair a 12-inch water main that had broken in the 1200 block of 28th Street around midnight.

DC Water told DC News Now that about 60 customers in the Northwest community have been impacted by the outage. This includes customers within Olive Street from 28th to 29th Street, and 28th Street from Olive to M Street.
As a result, officials said teams have been passing out water bottles on Christmas morning.
According to DC Water, repairs are expected to be completed within three to four hours if unforeseen issues do not arise.
