After Wednesday, many will have holiday leftovers to eat through this week. It is important to know that people during the holiday season have a higher chance of getting food poisoning. This is from food being left out in the open for too long.
How long can leftovers be kept for?
The CDC says leftovers should be stored within two hours of cooking. They also say leftovers are good to keep in the fridge for three to four days max. Some leftovers can last longer if they are stored in the freezer.
