Many of us inevitably start to wonder during the holiday season what there is to look forward to in the coming year. If you travel, it could be one of the many new hotels and resorts opening in 2025.
While this curated list of 25 of the coolest new hotels and resorts opening in 2025 isn’t exhaustive, it’s a good start to rev up your wanderlust.

Regent Bali Canggu—Bali, Indonesia
Located on the scenic Canggu coast in breathtaking Bali is the Regent Bali Canggu, which opens this winter. The serene luxury resort will feature 150 suites and villas for couples and families to enjoy, a beachfront overlooking the Indian Ocean and six hectares of gardens. The resort will also offer five dining concepts, including two by award-winning Chef Andrew Walsh, along with a spa and Regent Club concept, which offers exclusive access to a lounge and infinity pool area.
Orient Express La Minerva—Rome, Italy
For the first time, the esteemed Orient Express is opening its own hotel: La Minerva in Rome. Opening in spring of 2025, the Orient Express La Minerva offers a luxurious haven in the heart of Rome at the Piazza della Minerva. The hotel is located in a building dating back to the 17th century and has been restored to modern glory. It’ll feature luxurious accommodations, a drinking venue, a ballroom for large events and a rooftop restaurant and bar featuring views of iconic sites like Saint Peter’s Basilica.
The Florentin—Frankfurt, Germany
The Florentin in Frankfurt, part of the Althoff Collection, will open in September 2025 as a new 147-room luxury hotel. Located within the turn-of-the-century building, the hotel will offer a selection of room categories to suit many travelers, from its 95 studios to its 3,500-square-foot Presidential Suite. Located near the Main River and the city’s museum district, it offers a great location from which to explore the city.
Althoff Dom Hotel—Cologne, Germany
Located right within Cologne’s historic district next to the wondrous Cologne Cathedral is the Althoff Dom Hotel, opening November, 2025. The luxury hotel will not only boast cathedral views, but also views of the Rhine River. It’s located in what was formerly the Dom Hotel, which dates back to 1840, but will be fully revitalized when it opens under the Althoff Collection. The Althoff Dom Hotel will feature 130 rooms and suites.
Faena Hotel New York—New York City, New York
Opening in spring of 2025 is the Faena New York, offering 120 rooms and suites overlooking the High Line and the Hudson River inside One High Line’s East Tower. The hotel will boast The Living Room, an entertainment venue with outdoor terraces, a celebrity chef-headed restaurant and the Tierra Santa Healing House spa. It’s the third Faena hotel in the world, with other hotels in Miami and Buenos Aires.
Intercontinental Sapporo—Sapporo, Japan

Opening in late 2025 but well worth the wait is the InterContinental Sapporo. It’s the first luxury hotel for IHG in Sapporo, and will be located on the upper floors of the AXA Sapporo Nakajima Park Project, offering 149 guest rooms and suites, an indoor pool and gym, two dining venues, a lounge and more.
Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia—Gaia, Portugal
Tivoli Hotels & Resorts will be offering a new wine-centric country hotel along the scenic Douro River in Gaia, Portugal in early 2025. The Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia Hotel will offer 150 rooms and suites, two restaurants, three drinking venues, two pools, a fitness center, spa and 97,000-square-feet of gardens, all built and designed around the oldest Port wine house in the world, which was established in 1638 and gives the hotel its name, Kopke.
Six Senses London—London, England
Travelers will be able to stay in London in style when the Six Senses London, located steps from Hyde Park, opens in early 2025. The 109-key hotel also offers 14 branded residences in an art deco building offering event spaces, all-day dining, a fitness area and the Six Senses Place, which is a social wellness club offering spaces to work, play and connect with other guests.
Few & Far Luvhondo—Limpopo, South Africa
Opening in early 2025 is a new branded eco-lodge in Limpopo, South Africa: Few & Far Luvhondo. The biophilic lodge will offer just six suites, offering a retreat within the UNESCO-designed Vhembe Biosphere Reserve. Travelers who visit will enjoy a solar-powered cable car game-viewing safari, traditional Boma Braai dinners, foraging excursions and more. The Few & Far brand was created by Sarah and Jacob Dusek, the founders of U.S. glamping company Under Canvas.
Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique—Guanacaste, Costa Rica

Opening in 2025 is the Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique, located on a peninsula offering sweeping ocean views. The luxury resort will offer 190 rooms and 41 residences, with sustainability in mind. The resort’s amenities include a signature dining concept and bar, wellness center with a cenote-inspired spa, kids clubs, gelato shop and more.
AC Hotel Pasadena—Pasadena, California
Heading to the United States, the new AC Hotel Pasadena will open in February as part of the design-forward AC Hotels by Marriott brand. The 194-room hotel will offer six stories of accommodations and amenities, including mountain views, the AC Kitchen, the AC Library coworking and relaxation space and over 5,000-square-feet of event spaces. It is located within walking distance of the Pasadena Convention Center and is located on the Rose Parade route, offering a great location for both leisure and business travelers.
Silversea Hotel—Puerto Williams, Chile
In a surprising first, luxury expedition line Silversea will be opening its own hotel in the southernmost city on earth. Located in Puerto Williams, Chile, the hotel will open in late 2025 just in time for the line’s Antarctica voyage season. The hotel will offer 150 rooms and include a large restaurant, lounge, fitness center and views of the Patagonian mountains.
Hotel Willa—Taos, New Mexico
Located in the Taos Historic District, guests of the design-forward Hotel Willa will love the 51-room boutique escape, part of Casetta. The modern adobe style and gorgeous views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains are only the beginning of its charms: when it opens in February 2025, it’ll also feature a pool, hot tub, wellness facilities, a stargazing deck and more. The hotel will also feature a dining venue with locally sourced ingredients and on-site garden, art gallery and Artist in Residency program.
Nekajui, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve—Guanacaste, Costa Rica
Slated to open in January is the next exclusive Ritz-Carlton Reserve property, this time located at the Peninsula Papagayo in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. The Nekajui, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve will offer a luxury resort surrounded by lush jungle with views of the Pacific Ocean. It’ll offer many of the amenities its brand professes, with an eye towards sustainability and wellness. Beyond rooms and suites, the property will also boast treetop tents.
The Plein Hotel—Milan, Italy
Opening in January in stylish Milan, Italy, is a hotel that’s sure to take any Vogue-connoisseur on a run for their money: The Plein Hotel, part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and designed by German designer Philip Plein. The boutique 13-room hotel will offer upscale culinary offerings along with its own vibrant nightlife.
Laguna Coast Resort—Naxos, Greece
Part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World’s Considerate Collection of sustainable properties, the Laguna Coast Resort will open in Naxos, Greece in May, 2025 as an eco-retreat. Overlooking the Aegean sea and the region’s ancient landmarks, guests will love the resort’s natural beauty and its connection to regenerative tourism, as part of the largest regeneration project in the Cyclades.
Mandarin Oriental Downtown Dubai—Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Opening in 2025, the Mandarin Oriental Downtown Dubai will be located in Dubai’s Wasl Tower, with the region’s tallest ceramic facade. The hotel will offer 259 rooms and suites, along with 224 residences, all within walking distance of the City Walk. The hotel itself will boast nine restaurants, lounges and bars, a luxury spa and more.
Palm House—Palm Beach, Florida

Palm House, opening in Palm Beach, Florida in January 2025, will be the first property in the U.S. for London-based Iconic Luxury Hotels collection. The hotel offers a blend of elegant and exuberant style for travelers to feel immersed in a beachside paradise, with colors inspired by corals. It boasts 79 rooms and suites, a Sunset Pool Deck and all-day dining at the Palm House Dining Room. Note: this hotel will have a grand opening in January, but had a soft opening in late 2024.
VERANÓ San Juan—San Juan, Puerto Rico
Opening in spring of 2025 is VERANÓ San Juan, the first Leading Hotels of the World property in captivating Puerto Rico. It’s located in the Santurce neighborhood, near to San Juan’s business and cultural areas and offers amenities and services for both leisure and business travelers alike. Rooms include those with king beds, two queen beds, accessible rooms and suites.
Romègas Hotel—Valletta, Malta
Opening next summer as part of Preferred Hotel & Resorts’ L.V.X. Collection is the Romègas Hotel, located within a restored 500-year-old palazzo originally built for the Knight of Malta himself, Mathurin Romègas. The luxury hotel will offer 23 rooms and suites, all with traditional Maltese design elements such as Maltese balconies. The hotel also features a rooftop pool with gorgeous views of the bay, a destination restaurant, drinking venue and more.
The Newman—London, England
Opening this summer as part of Preferred Hotel & Resorts’ Legend Collection is The Newman, located in the creative London neighborhood of Fitzrovia. The timelessly designed hotel offers 81 rooms and suites, including a signature rooftop suite boasting its own terrace and four bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a cocktail bar, modern brasserie, wellness floor and gym onsite.
Stockholm Stadshotell—Stockholm, Sweden
Opening as part of Relais & Chateaux, the Stockholm Stadshotell will offer an intimate 32 rooms and suites when it opens on January 25, 2025. The building, which was originally built between 1873 and 1875 has been restored and renovated to offer modern luxury stays for guests in Stockholm. The hotel offers two restaurants, a seasonal courtyard, Swedish spa and more.
InterContinental Indianapolis—Indianapolis, Indiana

Who could have expected your next highly anticipated luxury hotel could be located in Indianapolis? We could! Opening in early 2025 inside the historic Illinois Building that boasts nearly a century of history, the InterContinental Indianapolis will offer 170 rooms and suites, two new dining concepts, including the first rooftop bar in the city, 5,000-square-feet of event space and much more.
Nordelaia Beaulieu—Beaulieu-sur-Mer, France
Located along the scenic French Riviera in Beaulieu-sur-Mer is Nordelaia Beaulieu, opening summer of 2025. The boutique hotel offers just 33 rooms and suites inside a building dating back to the 1960s and styled with a breezy, minimalist concept with local materials. The hotel will offer the only rooftop terrace in the town, an al fresco restaurant, outdoor pool and more.
Dream Hotel at Riverside Wharf—Miami, Florida
Part of Dream Hotel Group, the 165-room Dream Hotel at Riverside Wharf is just one part of a new waterside entertainment complex with restaurants, retail, and a marina. When it opens in 2025, the hotel will boast its own rooftop pool and nightclub, health and wellness facilities and several dining venues.
