ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – A man is hospitalized after he was shot on Dayton Street early Wednesday morning. Rochester Police said officers responded to Dayton Street between Bauman Street and Hudson Avenue around 1:50 a.m. for a ShotSpotter Activation and found a 51-year-old man who was suffering from at least one gunshot wound. According to RPD, officers provided first aid, and the man was transported to an area hospital by ambulance where he was treated for life threatening injuries. RPD says they are still searching for suspects, but no arrests have been made. This is an ongoing investigation. You can check back here for updates.
