WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Police in the District are looking for the driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run that happened in Northeast D.C. on Christmas Eve. Just after 7 p.m., the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the intersection of 16th Street and North Carolina Avenue NE. Police said a pedestrian was hit by a car, which drove off by the time police arrived. ‘Special activity incident’ on I-95 causes delays in Richmond The man died at the scene. There was no information regarding what the driver or their car looked like, MPD noted. The 1500 - 1600 blocks of C St., NE were closed from 17th Street to 15th Street, NE as crews investigated.
