LAKEVILLE, Mass. (WLNE) — Lakeville police said the driver responsible for the 80 Amazon packages found over the weekend admitted to leaving them due to feeling stressed.
On Dec. 23, an Amazon driver arrived at the Lakeville Police Department and admitted to leaving the packages on the side of the road, according to police.
The driver told police they left them there around 7 p.m. on Dec. 21, and that they planned to report the incident to their manager.
Lakeville Police found the 80 Amazon packages in a wooded area near Bedford St. in the morning of Dec. 22.
The next day, on Dec. 23, a spokesperson from Amazon said the packages were being reprocessed and redelivered to the customers.
The Lakeville Police Department said it is not seeking criminal charges and consider the incident “a human resources matter for Amazon.”
