JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — Two people, including a James City County Police officer, were injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Richmond Road and Rochambeau Drive Tuesday evening, police said. James City County Police said the officer and a passenger from another vehicle that was involved in the crash were taken to VCU Medical Center in Richmond for treatment. The extent of their injuries are unknown at this time, police said. The intersection of Richmond Road and Rochambeau Drive (Anderson's Corner) was closed as of 7:30 p.m. and was expected to remain closed for an extended period, police said. They advised drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes. Since one of its officers was involved in the crash, James City County Police said Virginia State Police is investigating the crash.
