BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — Holiday shopping can be the procrastinator's nightmare, and North Dakotans aren't immune to the last-minute holiday shopping rush. Waiting until the last minute to get gifts isn't new. In fact, one survey found that 50% of American shoppers waited until December to do their Christmas shopping. They say younger shoppers are more likely to wait to do their holiday shopping than older shoppers. Men are also more likely to procrastinate than women when it comes to getting holiday gifts. "The holiday season kind of sneaks up on everybody," said Crappy to Happy Manager, Ahvi Harris. "You know, it's hard to get into the swing of things. And you think you have so much of a long time, and it just sneaks up on everybody. It's natural." The National Retail Federation expects a record number of shoppers this year, with the average person spending $902 on gifts, food, decorations, and more for Christmas. Close Thanks for signing up!
