HAGERSTOWN, Md. (DC News Now) -- Ahead of Santa's busy night on Christmas Eve, he took some time to dip in the pool at the Hagerstown YMCA. The much-needed swim break was also quite a thrill for the kids. "The kids were having a lot of fun with Santa," said lifeguard McKenna Iseminger. "They were winning prizes, rubber duckies, they were having a lot of fun in the pool." 7th grader Maddox came to the pool with her Christmas wish list in hand. Shoppers search for perfect gift while last-minute holiday shopping in Clarksburg "I like how he was funny," said Maddox. "We talked about a new soccer net for my backyard." One swimmer expressed the stress he felt being older than the other kids swimming with Santa. "I'm older than most of the people here," said Jason, who's 11. "Like, me being 11 ... [there's] so many younger kids out there." Jason did tell Santa he'd been a good boy this year and is hoping a tablet would be gift-wrapped with his name on it under the tree on Christmas morning. Being able to hang out with Santa on Christmas Eve was a gift many kids won't soon forget - especially Serene, who exclaimed, "It was like really cool. It was like amazing!"
