PENFIELD, N.Y. (WROC) – Thirteen vehicles were broken into during Christmas Eve Mass Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, deputies said. News 8 attended the Christmas Eve mass when this reportedly happened. These images show the site just prior to the time deputies said it happened. (WROC/Emalee Burkhard.) According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to check out the break ins around 3:30 p.m. On scene, deputies discovered that 13 vehicles had their windows smashed, with items inside taken. It happened sometime between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. A silver 2019 Kia Sorento was also stolen, deputies announced. The vehicle had a Virginia license plate: XFH4706. Big crowds for St. Joseph’s Christmas Eve Mass No suspect information is available. As the investigation continues, deputies asked anyone with information to call 911.
