New Mexico woman sentenced for fatal wrong way crash

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A woman who crashed into another car while driving the wrong way down the interstate three years ago will spend half a decade behind bars. Danielle Archuleta pled no contest to homicide by vehicle charges in June.

In 2021, police say she was driving west in the eastbound lanes on I-40 near 98th Street when she hit Nikal Adhi which resulted in his death. Judge Cindy Leos sentenced her to five years behind bars.
