NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — One USPS postal worker is delivering not only packages, but also holiday spirit to North Attleborough residents.
Scott Phillips, of South Attleboro, has dressed as “Buddy the Elf” for the past six years on the job during Christmastime.
“Making people happy makes me happy. I just want to bring joy to people,” Scott Phillips said.
His wife, Leah Phillips, said he is very close with the people he delivers to, and that they “love and appreciate him.”
“He always goes above and beyond to be kind and considerate to everyone he encounters,” Leah said.
Each year, kids wait for Buddy the Elf’s arrival, and will wave and take photos with him, according to Leah.
Even with the recent freezing temperatures, Scott makes sure to spread Christmas cheer.
“He was even out there yesterday (in) the bitter cold with layers underneath his costume just so that he can bring joy to others,” Leah added.
Scott will be delivering packages on Christmas Eve day, and his wife encourages anyone interested to meet him.
