Cloudy and quiet for Christmas Day!

The Latest from Storm Team 5...
From all of us at Storm Team 5, we wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
We saw some peaks of sunshine here this afternoon as high pressure tried its hardest to clear the clouds out. Temperatures will drop into the teens this evening, but as the clouds fill back in, temperature will warm up again into the low 20s. Overall, no issues for Santa's travels around NE Wisconsin tonight.
Expect more of the same tomorrow on Christmas Day. Cloudy, overcast skies with temperatures around 30 degrees. While it could be better, it could certainly be a lot colder and a lot snowier. We will wake up to around 1-3" of snow on the ground, which will mark 2024 officially a white Christmas. No travel impacts are expected for the most part, just watching for some areas of fog to build in overnight.
We turn our winds to the south on Thursday and this warms things up a bit. Highs jump into the 40s, but the clouds remain. We should stay mainly dry, but a few passing light rain showers cant be ruled out. With warmer air moving over a melting snow pack, chances for fog will continue until the snow melts off, which looks to be by the weekend for most.
A better opportunity for rain showers arrives Friday afternoon into Saturday morning. All set and done, our area could pick up .25-.75in of rainfall. High temperatures surge all the way into the middle 40s for the weekend.
