BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Alta One Credit Union is giving out their last surprise to former residents of the Open Door Network. "In the credit union world, we're all about people helping people, and that's just what we are, we're people helping people," said Chris Lowe with Alta One Federal Credit Union. "Giving a handout to people who just need a little bit extra for the holiday season." We were at the Open Door Network and the Open Door Network helped us get into this place," the former ODN resident said. Alta One also helped to liven up the space with a Christmas tree and presents. "The Open Door Network is really gracious to be able to partner with them. This is a really tough time for a lot of people and just being able to brighten this family's day really makes it all worth it," said Lauren Skidmore with the Open Door Network.
