Jose Lopez says he was contacted by a person named Mahendra Darbar, who told him his social security number was tied to money laundering. Police say Darbar showed up to the victim's home and demanded more than $70,000. The Rio Arriba Sheriff’s Office said they’re now working with other state agencies to see if there are other victims out there or other suspects tied in.
