[1] Two arrested after string of armed robberies, shooting with police - Police arrested 32-year-old Roberto Perez and 35-year-old Joshua Garcia. According to a criminal complaint, the two robbed a Circle K and a Verizon store at gunpoint. Police later tracked the pair to an Auto Zone on Carlisle. The pair fled from police and during the incident Perez was shot and later taken to the hospital. Garcia was booked into MDC and Perez will be booked when he is released from the hospital.
[2] Suspected scammer who showed up at victim’s home is arrested - A man is facing fraud charges after allegedly stealing tens of thousands of dollars from an Espanola resident, while pretending to be with law enforcement. Jose Lopez says he was contacted by a person named Mahendra Darbar, who told him his social security number was tied to money laundering. Police say Darbar showed up to the victim's home and demanded more than $70,000. The Rio Arriba Sheriff’s Office said they’re now working with other state agencies to see if there are other victims out there or other suspects tied in.
[3] Drier today, but Christmas snow in northern New Mexico - Light rain showers with wet snow flurries are falling across Northern New Mexico. Moisture with colder air will arrive with the jet stream diving just enough southward on Christmas with a gustier low-pressure system, which is likely to bring some snow in the northern Mountains, with mixed precipitation slightly farther to the south possible.
[4] Six New Mexico museums offering free admission on Christmas Eve - On Christmas Eve, visitors can get into six different state museums with free admission between 10 a.m. and noon. The museums are: New Mexico History Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico Museum of Art in Santa Fe, Museum of Indian Arts and Culture in Santa Fe, International Folk Art Museum in Santa Fe, National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque.

Before beginning his trip delivering presents to all, Santa greeted the crowd that gathered in Santa Claus village, in Rovaniemi in northern Finland. Santa then set off in his sleigh.
