2 hospitalized following Johnston headon crash

JOHNSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — An investigation is underway after two men were injured in a crash Monday evening in Johnston.
Officers were called to the area of 270 Central Avenue for a crash between two sedans around 5:40 p.m.
Police said one of the drivers, an 87-year-old man, may have experienced a medical emergency that possibly contributed to the collision. He was taken to a local hospital by Johnston firefighters.
The other driver, a 41-year-old man was also taken to the hospital for injuries that were not significant, police said.
