FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — A man was taken into custody after allegedly stabbing someone in Fall River on Monday night. Officers responded to a domestic violence call on Meridian Street just after 6 p.m. and found a man with a severe laceration to his forearm. According to police, the man became "combative" while an officer tried to render aid, prompting the call for four additional officers to help get him under control. Police later determined the man was experiencing mental health issues. They said he had stabbed someone inside the home before hurting himself. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to Rhode Island Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
