Teen caught doing donuts with stolen car in South Memphis: MPD

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A 17-year-old is facing a list of charges after he was caught with a stolen car and a handgun on Monday, according to Memphis Police.
On Monday morning, a woman reported her 2012 Infiniti FX35 stolen from her home in Parkway Village. Later that night, officers saw a black Infiniti doing donut burnouts at Norris and Elvis Presley Boulevard.
They stopped the vehicle, which had what police say was a fake temporary tag attached to the back.

Two suspects then jumped out of the car and fled the scene on foot. MPD says one of the suspects pulled a gun out of his pocket as he ran.
Police say the 17-year-old suspect was taken into custody and found to have a key programmer and loaded handgun on him. The car was confirmed to have been stolen and is valued just over $17,500.
The teen was charged with Financial Responsibility, No Driver's License, Evading Arrest on Foot, Theft of Property $10,000-$60,000, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
