FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Three of the remaining horses involved in a severe neglect case in Franklin County have been rescued, according to the Kentucky Humane Society.
The horses were captured this week with assistance from the community after they escaped by jumping a fence last week during an operation to rescue 13 neglected horses from a local farm.
Officials confirmed that all 13 horses are now receiving medical attention at the Kentucky Humane Society’s Willow Hope Farm in Simpsonville.
The Humane Society is requesting donations to support the care of the horses. For those who wish to contribute, a donation link is available on the organization’s Facebook page.
