Cloudy and quiet Tuesday; rain for Christmas Day
Dec 24, 2024
A cold front is sliding across the state early this Tuesday morning. This is pushing the rain out of here but some lingering patchy drizzle can't be ruled out. Overall, it will be a rather cloudy and quiet day with lighter winds and temperatures that climb back to the low and mid 40s.
Rain returns tonight! This will set us up for a rather soggy Christmas Day. Rain spreads into the state during the overnight hours. Most locations will see rain by daybreak tomorrow. The rain sticks with us throughout the day but it will scatter and slowly ease during the afternoon and evening hours. Temperatures tomorrow will return to the mid 40s.
The first night of Hanukkah begins tomorrow evening. Sunset time is 5:26 PM. Scattered rain lingers in the area with temperatures in mid 40s through the evening.
We're tracking warmer temperatures by the end of the week with a string of 50-degree days likely. This warmth peaks on Saturday with high temperatures near 60° before we trend cooler, once again. The warmup does keep with the unsettled pattern though with rain chances around through the weekend.
