Suspect charged in Greensboro police officer's death in Guilford County jail under no bond, warrants show

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) -- The man accused of shooting and killing Officer Michael Horan is in the custody of the Greensboro Police Department after being arrested near the Duplin County line on Monday.
According to warrants, Tarell Isaac McMillian, 34, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Officer Horan.
The situation unfolded Monday, after police got a call about a possibly armed suspect in the Food Lion on Lawndale Drive, according to the SBI's news release Monday evening.

Around 11 a.m., Horan engaged with the suspect, identified in warrants as McMillian, and was shot. He died from his injuries.
McMillian was taken into custody around 1 p.m. after a chase through multiple counties east of the Triad, ending at the Sampson County-Duplin County line. He was taken into custody without further incident.
He is now in the Guilford County Jail with no bond.
He is also facing charges in Sampson County for reckless driving and other traffic violations stemming from the chase.
