(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A one-of-a-kind light display wrapped up its unique display on Saturday, Dec. 21, after three weeks of featuring thousands of lights. The St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Colorado Springs featured over 100,000 lights that community members could enjoy right before Christmas. The church said it takes about three weekends to put up the lights and another weekend to put up all the extension cords. "Christmas is like the Super Bowl for churches," said Rev. Matt Holcombe. On Saturday, individuals could also get a picture with Santa and bring one canned good to support local food banks or a brand new toy to help a child in the community. Last year, the church collected over 4,000 items and 400 toys. Although the light display wrapped up on Saturday, individuals have two more chances to see them on Tuesday, Dec. 24, Christmas Eve. "We invite the community to join us on Christmas Eve, and they can do so at 4 p.m., 7 p.m., or 11 p.m.," said Rev. Matt Holcombe. And for any of the viewers out there watching, we will have on the Christmas lights after the services. So if you miss it, there's one final chance."
