(KRON) -- A child and an adult were injured after a shootout occurred in Pleasant Hill on Monday, the Pleasant Hill Police Department said. Two suspects were arrested. The Pleasant Hill Police Department said officers responded to the area of Contra Costa Boulevard and Vivian Drive where a shooting occurred between two vehicles. Police received calls around 11:49 a.m. about the shooting, which was described as a gunfire battle, according to PHPD. Officers arrived at the scene and later located one of the vehicles involved in the shooting. Van bursts into flames inside Caldecott Tunnel PHPD found a white Ford Explorer SUV with multiple bullet holes about a half-mile north at Harriet Drive and Contra Costa Boulevard. According to PHPD, 27-year-old Larry Neal was inside the Ford and had a gunshot wound to the hand. A 7-year-old was inside one of the cars and suffered minor injuries related to the shooting. Alexis Sidney, 38, of Brentwood was arrested for child endangerment and shooting at an occupied vehicle. Larry Neal, 27, of Antioch and Brentwood was arrested for child endangerment, shooting at an occupied vehicle and convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Vivian Drive and Contra Costa Boulevard is in the area where Caspers Hot Dogs is located. Contra Costa Boulevard was closed for several hours after the shooting.
