GREENBELT, Md (DC News Now) -- Residents of Chelsea Wood Condominiums continue dealing with no heat, as cold weather grips the area and broken pipes are to blame since they malfunctioned earlier this month. "I think my patience ran out a long time ago," said Jessica Fomalont, who has lived in her unit since 2005. "I'm doing the best I can," Fomalont said. Despite the warmth, she still sleeps on her couch. "I'm not sleeping in my bedroom because it's too cold," said Fomalont. The condo association board told residents it's trying to find someone to fix the problem. There's no word how long that will take, or when the heat will be restored. "It's been really frustrating," said Jocelyn Cox. She, her husband, and their new baby, also rely on space heaters. "What we've been doing is just really bunking in, in our room together," Cox said. That provides some hope to residents, upset by the perceived cold-shoulder treatment they've received. "I lost my patience when it was Thanksgiving, and we were told by the management office that we'd have heat by Thanksgiving and we didn't," Fomalont said. DC News Now reached out to the board president and apartment management but did not hear back in time for publication.
