Security guard for D3 on leave, facing charges of child abuse

(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — A security guard for Widefield School District 3 (D3) is on administrative leave from the district and is facing charges of child abuse, according to the district and the El Paso County Sheriff's Office (EPSO).
According to EPSO, Terrance Stanley is employed as an armed security guard for District 3, though the district did not specify which school. EPSO confirmed to FOX21 News that Stanley was booked into the El Paso County Jail on Sunday, Dec. 18 on charges of Child Abuse- Recklessly Causing Serious Bodily Injury.

According to D3, Stanley has been employed by the district since November 2016. He has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
