NORTH DAKOTA (KXNET) — This month, North Dakota was awarded four loans for critical water and sewer system improvements across the state. These loans, made through the State Revolving Fund programs, will help local communities update their infrastructure and ensure access to clean water for residents. One project will use a $2 million loan to upgrade lagoon systems to meet current environmental standards. Another project will receive $2.4 million to replace aging water and sewer lines and improve system reliability, helping prevent costly future repairs. TANF reports over 600 families helped per month A larger project was awarded a $35 million loan to replace lead service lines, eliminating the risk of lead contamination in drinking water. The loans are part of a state program that offers low-interest funding to support projects that improve water systems and protect public health. These investments help communities meet modern water standards and ensure safer drinking water for everyone.
