OAKHURST, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Four nights before Christmas day, the Madera County Sheriff's Office's reserve deputy sheriff Santa conquered "Mt. Chipotle" and left their mark on the interesting terrain Sunday.
Mt. Chipotle is seen to be a pile of dirt and according to Google Maps is located off Highway 49 right next to the Chipotle in Oakhurst.
The interesting terrain next to Chipotle has captured the attention of the community and even the deputies.
The sheriff's office posted on Friday on social media two deputies on top of the mountain, celebrating their conquest.
The sheriff's office posted Sunday that reserve deputy sheriff Santa was making her way onto the mountain to check the visitor's log and interviewed witnesses looking for evidence of "that grinchy guy in green."
In the post, the sheriff's office says they are on the case and are searching for clues with "the utmost haste."
At the end of the video that was posted, reserve deputy sheriff Santa was seen putting a sheriff's flag on the mountain.
