2 vehicles involved in shootout in Pleasant Hill

(KRON) -- Police activity has shut down a road in Pleasant Hill Monday afternoon. The Pleasant Hill Police Department said officers are in the area of Contra Costa Boulevard and Vivian Drive where a shooting occurred between two vehicles.
Police received calls around 11:49 a.m. about the shooting, which was described as a gunfire battle, according to PHPD. Officers arrived at the scene and later located one of the vehicles involved in the shooting.

PHPD found a white Ford Explorer SUV with multiple bullet holes about a half mile north at Harriet Drive and Contra Costa Boulevard. According to PHPD, one person inside the Ford was found to have suffered a gunshot wound to the hand.
It is unknown if that individual was a passenger or the driver of the Ford (pictured below).

A shooting occurred in the area of Contra Costa Boulevard and Vivian Drive near Caspers Hot Dogs on Monday, Dec. 23.
Police believe the parties of the two vehicles involved in the shooting knew each other.
Vivian Drive and Contra Costa Boulevard is in the area where Caspers Hot Dogs is located. KRON4 is sending a crew to the scene.
