RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – A Rio Rancho man who was taken into custody last week after firing nearly a thousand rounds of ammo in the air has been ordered to turn over any firearms he owns. Eric Brusstar was given a temporary Extreme Risk Firearm Protection Order days after police said he fired more than 700 rounds of ammunition from his home near NM 528 and High Resort Blvd. Santa Fe Mediterranean food truck reopens following burglary in November No one was seriously hurt. Brusstar suffered minor injuries and is being treated at the hospital. The state filed for the order citing mental health issues and his recent actions. That hearing is scheduled for Monday. Until then he's under the temporary order.
